I've had this blog for a while. I've sent it out in emails and told you to check it and... it's just been empty. I have sat down so many times to write a post, but everytime something holds me back. I couldn't put my finger on what it was for quite a while... but after lots of denial, I'm ready to admit that I suffer from a severe case of blog intimidation. They say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, right?
For those of you who don't know, I have been living in Pullman, WA/Moscow, ID for the past month and a half (which is so hard for me to believe!) and working as an intern with Resonate Church. I say it's hard for me to believe I've only lived here for a month and half because it feels like I've lived here forever. and I love it. Initially, I was a little nervous (ok, a lot) that it would take a really long time to have friends here...but it really hasn't. Maybe it's because I'm so lovable, funny and naturally popular that people are drawn to me? Just throwing it out there. But in all seriousness, the Lord has brought the most amazing community of people into my life. I could not be more thankful.
I could go on and on about little details of my day.. but then you would be sitting in front of your computer for hours. Completely enthralled by my storytelling of course, but nonetheless, hours. So, I'll leave you with a few interesting things that have happened to me since I've lived in the Palouse:
1. Almost hitting people in crosswalks...everyday. Pedestrians have the right of way...who knew?!
2. Happening upon a spontaneous hippie concert in the middle of the street in Moscow. Complete with dancing.
3. Being asked by a girl in Starbucks if she could take my picture for the College Fashionista Blog. Yes, that happened.
4. I'm on the search for the perfect hat. Apparently you need one to be hipster..and that, my friends, is my ultimate goal.
That's all I've got. Mostly because there has to be an element of suspense to lure you back in.
Until next time,
Jamie
